My art practice is centered around the feelings that come with living within late-stage capitalism. The feelings that come with the uncertainty of life. The feeling of the world falling apart more and more every day. The feeling of dread you get in your stomach when you realize that your surroundings will soon disappear. The icky feeling you get when you walk by an out-of-touch advertisement. The feeling of trudging through another day. The feeling of staying up till 3 am because of climate anxiety. The feeling of hopelessness when you listen to incompetent people in power.

I use humor to reflect the absurdity and batshit craziness that we have had to push down and take in stride as we continue with our “normal” lives.  I take moments from our lives that we are so desensitized to as perceiving as normal and make them appear as they are, a weird incoherent mess that we created for ourselves.

My art practice is symbiotic with the world around me. As my surroundings become more unhinged, so does my art.
